FIFA World Cup 2018 Predictions on June 6, 2018
I have been following the World Cup since 1994 and it has always been a joy watching the games. There will be some serious upsets and unlikely teams to win at the group stages, but the winner of it all will most likely be either Germany, Spain, France, Argentina, or Brazil. The outside contenders are Belgium and Portugal, assuming they play really well and get lucky, of course. I have a team preview link, if you want more detailed information on analysis. I wrote these predictions on June 6, 2018 and I’m not changing them so let’s see how the results pan out.
Group Stage Predictions
Here are the 8 groups and my predictions for the countries that will reach the knockout stage.
Group Winners: A – Uruguay | B – Spain | C – France | D – Croatia | E – Brazil | F – Germany | G – Belgium | H – Poland
Group Runners-Up: A – Russia | B – Portugal | C – Denmark | D – Argentina | E – Serbia | F – South Korea | G – England | H – Colombia
Unfortunately, I do not see any of the African teams going to the knockout stage. The only team that may make it are Egypt in Group A, assuming that Russia does not play any tricks and potentially Nigeria in Group D, if they can somehow pull some magic like the previous world cups.
The only Asian side to make it will be South Korea, since I am a fan of how they play. It is probably the toughest group, but I’m sure they will cause some serious trouble. If they do not make it, Mexico will replace them. Mexico has made the knockout stage almost all the time.

They do it again for the second time! My French friends will be very happy indeed. I bet Cyril in Singapore, Thomas in Paris, all the internationals that I met in Paris, and all other French nationals that I met while I was traveling WILL BE PARTYING!
